Tanja Virtanen, a specialist working at the Salo unit of Southwest Finland TE services, primarily assists Ukrainian customers. She has been satisfied with Youpret’s interpretation services and hopes to continue using them in the future.
Specialist Tanja Virtanen assists international customers in the so-called Ukraine team in creating integration plans. These discussions are fundamental, as they cover everything from the applicant’s basic information and background to job-seeking skills, jobseeker’s rights and responsibilities, language test, and the Finnish labor market.
Tanja has been using Youpret’s interpretation services since the spring of 2023, and she usually books the interpretation through a web browser.
— I use remote interpretation by appointment almost daily, and I also use instant interpretation frequently. My practices have included making a short call to the customer with the help of an interpreter, for example, before the first meeting, to ensure that the customer knows where to go, what we will be discussing, and what documents they should bring along. This way, during the actual meeting, we can focus better on helping the customer, Tanja explains.
What added value have Youpret’s interpretation services and interpreters brought to Tanja’s work?
— I studied Russian myself a long time ago, but without professional interpreters, I wouldn’t manage at all. It would be completely impossible to communicate with the customer. For the customer’s own benefit and safety, it is essential to have an interpreter involved in the discussion, Tanja explains.
Tanja mentions that interpreters for the Ukrainian and Russian languages have always been available when needed and with a good response time. The number of interpreters for both languages at Youpret has increased over the past years.
According to Tanja, the best part of working with Youpret’s interpreters has been the smooth and friendly cooperation.
— A good interpreter helps me move the conversation forward even when the customer is very brief in their responses. A few of the interpreters I order most frequently have become familiar, almost like colleagues. I have used Youpret’s favorite interpreter feature, which directs my bookings first to these selected interpreters if they are available, Tanja explains.
Tanja has contacted Youpret’s customer service a few times and has received assistance without waiting in line.
— I have made a mistake a few times when booking an interpretation and I contacted customer service. My call was answered immediately, and I received excellent service, she says.
When asked if she would recommend Youpret’s interpretation services to others, Tanja doesn’t need to think long about the answer.
— I would absolutely recommend them! When something works well, why would you want to change it? Hopefully I can continue to use Youpret in my work in the future, she hopes.
